Qigong has exerted great influence on human beings. It can not only
prolong life, but also observe and understand the world with the
trans-time and space view. But what kind of material is Qi in Qigong? We have tried to answer the question in terms of the multiple-dimensional-space thinking mode.

Firstly, we will talk about the basic law of space. Space is made of materials of multiple-dimensions, in which there is a connection between dimensions, and n-dimensional space and materials consist of n-l dimensional space and materials. According to the division law of dimensions, the materials and organisms are made of molecules and cells as the fundamental structure. They are characterized by occupying of space and volume, seen by vision. They are of the yang aspect, while the materials and organisms outside of the 3-dimensional space are made of particles (messages), which occupy space but have no volume, and most of them cannot be seen by vision. They are of the yin aspect.

Qi consists of genuine Qi derived from the congenital essence and acquired Qi derived from food essence and oxygen. Oxygen exists on the earth and other planets and it can be turned into fluid or solid forms by modern technique. In terms of chemical structure oxygen consists of oxygen molecules, which shows that oxygen occupies space and has volume, as it is a visible Qi within the 3-dimensional space. From above we know the acquired Qi is also visible.

Up to now it has not been found about the elements that form the genuine Qi, but its form is understood-human biological magnetic field. In view of physics all fields are made of particles. Therefore the author contends that the genuine Qi is the invisible materials (or messages) outside of the 3-dimensional space. When they come together, they become particle bundles, which are of energy. When it enters the body, the energy helps to bring the genuine Qi into play, to prolong life. To maintain the congenital Qi, Qigong is the only method.
