Using Three Immunological Rosette tests:

a. RBC-C3b Receptor Rosette test
b. RC3bRR - RBC I Commune Complex Rosette test
c. RICRAutologous Rosette-forming test ARFT

We examined the effects of Zhi-Neng Qigong on 33 Qigong masters. Two patients in Qigong class compared with 107 in the Control Group, including 54 healthy old people and 53 blood donors. Neither the old nor the young controls had ever practiced any Qigong.

Results:

All three of Rosettes in patients before training were lower than that in other groups (R<0.05 or 0.01), but elevated to the normal level after training 20 days. These indicate that Zhi Neng Qigong may promote immunolgical function of red blood cells and autologous Rosette forming cells.

All three kinds of Rosettes tests in the Qigong master group were markedly higher than those in other groups (P<0.001).

Zhi-Neng Qigong has the effect of groups, and the change of RC3bRR frequency seemed to be more sensitive than the other.

The statistical difference has not between two Control Groups in three kinds of Rosettes test(P>0.24). The significance of the results and the possible mechanism was discussed.
