In 1982, Huawen Wu received his first instruction in qigong from 80 year old martial arts and qigong master Jin Kang Shou. Wu suffered from chronic viral myocarditis, and after 15 days practice of qigong his symptoms disappeared. After six months of daily qigong practice, Professor Wu began treating others with his wai qi, while also receiving advanced qigong instruction from Jiang Ming Wu and Wang Shun Jie. Professor Wu began scientific research into qigong in 1986. His wai qi emission was measured to have components including infrasound from 9 - 13 Hz, and he was able to produce changes in the infrared absorption of tissue samples at 63, 53, and 50 cm wavelengths.

During 1986, Professor Wu treated a biologist with an undiagnosed mass in his neck for 20 minutes twice daily for two days, and the mass disappeared. This began Professor Wu's interest in the application of qigong for cancer treatment. From 1987 - 89, Professor Wu conducted in vitro testing of the effects of his wai qi on stomach cancer cells, and demonstrated inhibition of cell division, as well as structural changes in the cancer cells. Laser raman spectrography of stomach cancer cells exposed to Professor Wu's wai qi emission revealed oxygen-phosphorus bond changes. Other research on breast cancer showed in vitro inhibition of cellular division. These and similar projects were funded by the National Council of Scientific Research of the People's Republic of China.

Professor Wu states that his cancer treatment begins with the Qu Xie method of expelling pathogenic Qi from the patient, and is then followed by the Fu Zheng method of reinforcing the patient s resistance. His typical treatment lasts 20 minutes; the frequency depends on the patient's condition. This can be up to 2 - 3 times per day in advanced eases, but is usually 2 - 3 times per week.

Measurements of Professor Wu s wai qi emission were made at the clinic of M M. Van Benschoten, O.M.D. and Associates on June 26, 1991. Omura's bidigital 0-Ring test was applied to determine photon emission and microwave resonant wavelengths of wai qi emission: ability to charge water with wai qi and the medicinal potential of the charged water. in addition, the effectiveness In treating patients directly with wai qi was determined (Results In Table 1).

Biophoton Emission Data

Treatment hand/Index+middle fingertip emission = Yellow+Green; Du 20 (Baihui) = Purple measurable 13' above vertex; Du 4 (Mingmen) = Purple; Yintang (Extra) = Purple; Du 16 (Fengfu) = Violet; Pc 8 (Laogong) held at lumbar area = white light measurable with flat white filter to 78' directly posterior to open palm.

Table 1: Treatment of Patients by Direct Wai Qi Emission

Patient #1 - Diagnosis: Leiomyosarcoma metastasis to Liver; Treatment Duration: 5 minutes; Result: Complete elimination of cancer related energy fields from patient: Duration of Effect: 2 hours.

Patient #2 - Diagnosis: AIDS, Kaposi's Sarcoma, fungal enteritis; Treatment Duration: 5 minutes; Result: Complete elimination of cancer, viral and fungal related energy fields from patient; Duration of Effect: 20-30 minutes.

Patient #3 - Diagnosis: Intraductal breast cancer; Treatment Duration: 3 minutes; Result: Complete elimination of cancer related energy fields from patient; Duration of Effect: 3 hours.

Microwave Emission Data

Fingertips/Palm = 11.5'; Du 20, Du 4 = 20'; Palm at lumbar area = 3' - 16.5' all wavelengths inclusive.

Charged Materials Experiment

Professor Wu was able to charge tea, water, and lonicera flowers with his wai qi. This produced a broad spectrum therapeutic effect. Charged water, tea, etc., was able to block weak O-Ring test responses of the examiners when challenged with 1 cc ampules of the D6 (1:1,000,000) dilution of the pathogenic agents listed in Table 2. Testing proceeded according to standardized drup effectiveness evaluation procedures of Chinese herbal medicines. An aluminum honeycomb 12'x12'x1' drilled to accept 1 cc ampules was connected via banana plug ended test lead to a 6'x12'x1/8' aluminum plate which received paper cups containing the charged water, etc. Professor Wu was permitted 5 minutes for charging time, and treated all three samples simultaneously. All tested equally effective, but 24 hours later, only the water still produced a therapeutic effect.

Professor Wu gave his recommendations for patient's self treatment:

Breast Cancer: Patient to visualize formation of energy ball between her hands, then place energy ball over breast, and visualize pulling out disease energy with both hands and throwing it away from the body. Repeat this movement for 10 minutes after 20 minutes of initial qigong practice.

AIDS: For bedridden patients, breathing exercises only. In hale twice (two short bursts), and exhale once, practice up to four hours per day. (This technique may be known as Kidney tonification breathing.)

Conclusion:

Professor Wu demonstrated the ability to emit biophoton and microwave energies from his hands, charge water, converting it to a therapeutic substance, and treat patients by eliminating pathogenic qi and alleviating symptoms. Examination of Professor Wu's energy field suggests that he absorbs energy from the environment in the form of white light and a broad spectrum of microwaves through the Laogong (pericardium 8) point in the palm of the hand that is held at the lumbar area, and he then filters this energy and emits a narrow band of photons in the yellow to green spectrum with his other hand which is used to treat the patient. The yellow and green photon emissions resonate with the lymphatic system and cytoplasm, indicating that Professor Wu's wai qi emission has the capability to enhance the function of the immune system and influence intracellular structure and function. Further research needs to be pursued to determine methods for prolonging the duration of therapeutic effectiveness of the wai qi treatment.
