The necessity to facilitate increased qi in seriously ill, bed patients caused us to look at oral and/or intravenous augmentation of qi with hydrogen peroxide, the richest known source of liquid oxygen. Advanced cancer patients, arthritic patients and patients with physical debilities preventing them from participating in even the most basic qigong exercises now show increased appetite, interest in activities and socialization.

We are now able to significantly raise the patients qi as monitored by electro-acupuncture diagnostic methods and blood oxygen levels. Upon entering the blood stream the hydrogen peroxide is broken down into water and oxygen by an erythrocyte surface enzyme known as catalase at the rate of 42,000 molecules of hydrogen peroxide per catalase molecule in less than a tenth of a second. Singlet oxygen that occurs immediately couple to from O2 within the vascular compartment; therefore only O2 and water exit the vascular system into the body proper, both of which enhance qi and energy flow through hydration and oxygenation. Hospital Santa Monica has now administered 30,000 intravenous treatments with hydrogen peroxide without a negative incident; oral hydrogen peroxide is taken twice daily by each patient mixed with aloe vera extract and herbal tea for palatability.
