Detection and analysis of pulse wave in the state of human peculiar functioning

We detected synchronously the pulse wave of carotid and digital-end artery in those people who have peculiar function in the state of functioning process (perspecting the viscera of man) and analyzed its FFT power spectrum.

The conclusion can be made as following:

1. In the FFT power spectrum of carotid artery pulse the number of spectrum crest increases, the frequency of maximum spectrum crest moves forward, the energy of pulse increases. These changes may be caused by the rapidly increasing of brain blood feeding quantity when peculiar energy perspects human body and all nerves and humors are inspired thoroughly. When functioning state finishes, some process is needed to return to normal state.

2. In peculiar functioning, the changes of digital-end pulse is much more smaller than that of carotid artery pulse. This is mainly because the increase of brain blood-feeding quantity is much more larger than that of digital-end blood-feeding quantity when perspecting. However, it is can be seen obviously in FFT power spectrum of carotid artery pulse. The number of spectrum crest increases, the amplitude of spectrum crest increases, the pulse energy increases, the maximum spectrum crest moves forward.

3. In perspecting function state, the cardiac rate sometimes increases, sometimes decreases, and the regular pattern has not been found yet.

4. The changes in power spectrum graph are considerably clear, so spectrum analysis method is an effective method.
