Color effects of red, yellow, green , blue, purple and pink which appeared on autonomic nervous system related parameter AP and electroconductivity and blood flow related BP were measured by a single square voltage pulse method. AP was the lowest for red or green and the highest for blue. Blue exhibited high BP also. That meant blue excited the sympathetic nerve system and increased blood flow to the subjects in a relaxed state. The psychological and physical effects of very bright blue seemed to be influential. The experimental results corresponded well with impressions that subjects had during the experiment. Many subjects felt calmed by purple which is known as a healing color.
