A short series of techniques will be taught while participants sit in chairs and practice in this 60 minute workshop that is effective for increasing energy, reducing/eliminating anxiety and also depression. A chanting technique used to 'tune in' and open a meditative state will first be taught that is elementary to the system of Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan. This will be followed by two techniques to help energize the nervous system and stimulate glandular secretion, and thus help enhance the efficacy of any meditative practice. Then a specific technique will be taught that is useful for all forms of anxiety, calming the mind, achieving deep inner peace and stillness. Two techniques will be taught for eliminating and preventing depression and/or mental fatigue. These latter two techniques are also useful for helping to energize the brain and increase mental focus.
