Coordination between man and the universe is the most realistic
philosophic thinking of traditional Chinese culture. It studies the
universe, man and the relationship between man and nature as well as the relationship between man and himself, namely, the relationship between the human body and spirit. The most important rule among that relationship is coordination. Because only when various relationship is coordinated, can everything exist and develop steadily and healthily.

The understanding of the universe, man, matter and their relationship, of the coordinate relationship between man and nature is based on man's coordination, which can cause the coordination of the human body and spirit.

Man's mentality is considered as the heaven while the human body as the earth. ManĂs mentality refers to one's mind, namely, one's soul that has quite concrete, involving vitality and the ability of thinking. Man's mind or soul is as extensive as the heaven. The human body consisting of matters is like the earth t that is to say, the human body is matter and man's mentality is mind or thinking. Therefore, one of the important viewpoints of traditional Chinese culture considers man as a small universe which is composed of the body and spirit.

Hence we can come to the conclusion that the relationship (between man and man, man and object, object and object) is corresponding and coordinating.
