Effect of emitted qi on mutation to streptomyces mycarofarieus nov.sp.10204 Author: Gu Juefen 1//Wang Yaowei 1//Wu Jun 2 Affiliation: China Pharmaceutical University Nanjing, Nanjing, China [1]//Jiangsu Qigong Sciences Society of Sports, Jiangsu, China [2] Conference/Journal: 3rd Nat Acad Conf on Qigong Science Date published: 1990 Other: Pages: 113 , Word Count: 166 The selection by induced mutation was always used for industry production of antibiotics. This article deals with qigong emanation as a novel physico-mutagen, the effect of the mutation to mydecamycin producing strain (streptomyces mycarofarieus nov.sp.10204) by qigong emanation in comparison with uv was investigated. The selection of mutants with high productivity of MDM was attempted. The mutants of QE0002 and QE0022 was respectively isolated from the parent strain (S.10204) by qigong emanation. By studying the morphological and culture characteristics properties, it has been found that the aerial mycelium of this mutants change into white-grey, soluble pigment became dark brown and growing luxuriantly only 4 days. Through carefully analyzing the results obtained from cultivating QE0002 and QE0022 in same fermentation condition, we gave found the production of MDM from the mutant strain would be increased, the component A1 was greatly increased. It was increased by 45.6 and 49.5 percentage respectively. The qigong emanation was a novel method of radiation selection mutagen. Its fundatment involved mydecamycin strain was also discussed.
