Walter Hayley holds a Masters degree in acupuncture and is a licensed Acupuncture Physician. His extensive qigong training embraces numerous forms.

He is a skilled qigong practitioner and a former faculty member and clinical supervisor of the Traditional Acupuncture Institute, one of the oldest schools of Chinese medicine in this country and the first ever to receive national accreditation.

Walter began his study of Eastern philosophies while living in South Korea in 1971-72. He has since studies with several masters, has written numerous articles, and has appeared on CNN, PBS, the American Freedom Network, and the Wisdom Channel.


  • Practice and Services:
Walter Hayley is the founding director of the Way of Wellness Learning Center in Naples, Florida. Walter holds a Masters degree in acupuncture, is a licensed Acupuncture Physician and a scholar/practitioner/teacher of qigong. His extensive training in the healing arts embraces several traditions and he has studied with numerous recognized masters. Walter is a former faculty member and clinical supervisor of the Traditional Acupuncture Institute. He is also the former VP of Public Affairs of the Maryland Acupuncture Society. Walter founded and directed the very first acupuncture program at the nation's largest retirement center, Charlestown Retirement Community, Baltimore, MD.

With numerous written articles to his credit, Walter has appeared on CNN, PBS, the American Freedom Network, and the Wisdom Channel. He is nationally certified, is an NCCAOM Diplomat, and is also a certified acupuncture detoxification specialist. His work in Eastern modalities began while living in the Republic of South Korea in 1971-72, and includes recent study in the People's Republic of China.
