  • Training:
I received formal Chi Kung Healing training through The Body Energy Center, Boulder, Colorado Advanced Practitioner I also sit on a committee with the National QiGong (Chi Kung) Association which will work on a detailed definition distinguishing Chi Kung Healing from Medical Chi Kung. They are used fairly synonymously at this time. Nutrition in medical school plays a minor role in training even today. This is expected since western medicine is a disease oriented approach to healthcare. In private pursuit of more training about general nutritional and specific supplement approach to health, both treatment and prevention, I have discovered an enormous amount of reliable information and clinical studies showing significant benefit treating a wide variety of illness.

  • Practice and Services:
Chi Kung treatments are based on objective diagnosis and application of specific techniques to the energy body we all have as opposed to the physical body. It is the energy body that runs the physical body. The energy body is made up of 3 separate energy systems: Chakras, Meridians, and Auric Bodies. Each are distinct to themselves yet completely integrate with each other. Any given treatment works on the balance of each system within itself and this integration. It includes concepts and techniques largely from China, with others developed by Native Americans, and from Europe and India.

The philosophy and techniques are based on working at this energetic level. It is as real and objective to me as working on the physical body. And it makes more sense to approach many dis-ease states from a place they may originate than to use drugs to patch it up or simply alter the physical manifestation and stop there. Two good examples of why in the long run using only drug therapy frequently falls short of really treating the problem are high blood pressure and diabetes. In each case drugs can go a long way to control symptoms and improve quality of life - even life itself. But eventually we expect the organ damage we associate with each will likely show up despite excellent control of everything we can measure. So, don’t use western medicine? Absolutely not. This should always be at least considered, and I may often encourage it. But it is a tool, and whether it is used chronically or short term it will be seen only as a valid tool along with everything else
