I am a graduate (with honors) of the Hua Tuo Yi Liao Bao Jian Medical University in Beijing, China. I spent the last 4 years as a Senior Advisor and Research Fellow at the Beijing China Taiji Lotus Qigong Research Institute, and was proud to be asked to represent China Qigong Science Magazine, at the All-China Invitational Forum on Medical Qigong in October of 2000. My comments at the forum were published nationally. I am the first American Medical Qigong Doctor on record in China to be recognized for using External Qigong or for the purpose of pain relief and healing. I am certified and registered by the Government of China, listed on the National Registry, and recognized by the Chinese Ministry of Public Health, Peking University, the Chinese Qigong Science and Research Association, the Qigong Associations of Beijing and Shandong Provinces, and the China Medical Qigong Institute of Beijing. Dr. Smith is currently the Vice-Director of the International Applied YiJing Research Society, headquartered in Hong Kong.
